Sapphire
Sapphire is the second hardest substance on earth after Diamond. Its name comes from the Persian word "Safir", derived from the Greek word for blue.
While blue is the most traditional and classic color, there are a variety of different Sapphire colors.
Throughout history, the Sapphire has symbolized truth, sincerity, and loyalty. It is also believed to bring peace, joy, and wisdom to its wearer. The ancients regarded Star Sapphires as powerful talismans that could protect travelers and seekers. The Sapphire was called the "Gemstone of Destiny" and is believed to contribute to clarity of mind and perception.
