Description
Its name comes from the old French "Esmeralde", which means "green precious stone".
The first exploitations of this gem were made by Egyptian pharaohs, near the Red Sea, later they were called "Cleopatra's mines" due to the great fascination of the queen with this stone.
The Incas and Aztecs of America, where the best emeralds are still found, considered it a sacred stone. Emerald is nature's stone that is related to wisdom and inspiration. It helps to develop humanity, genuine generosity and inner liberation. It is the stone of prosperity and knowledge.
